Our mission is to ensure that Hanover women are key players at the political table on the local, state, and national issues.  We come together as a collective force advancing the power of Republican women through political access, education and community participation.  Chartered 4/28/1983.  Federal ID#54-1786375

2025 HRWC Scholarship Winner

Ruthie Gathie

Ruthie has served in the community at the Historic Patomi Church, formatting the weekly bulletin and assists with leading worship.
She has been a peer Helper by mentoring a 6th grader; she has served as a camp counselor and mentor to young girls at Camp Wakefield.
Further she has volunteered with The Family Foundation of Virginia by doing administrative work as well at their special events such as their gala, Kids Deserve More Day, and The March for Life.  This past November she volunteered with Samaritans Purse to help homeowners in Florida after Hurricane Helene and Milton.
She leads worship at school with the One True King Worship Band.
Her past work experience includes residential work as an electrical helper with Hallmark Electrical Services Company..
Ruthie is currently employed at Sancerre Atlee Station by serving residents in the dining hall and the activities department.
For our Lieutenant Governor, Winsome Earle-Sears, Ruthie was an intern and worked on a variety of projects.
Liberty University here in Virginia is where she will be heading this fall. We believe she represents the future of Republican women well by her integrity, poise and patriotism.
